The project aims to create a harmonious and sustainable urban space by blending modern development with environmental protection through various innovative strategies. To enhance mobility, a new east-west road has been designed, featuring lanes for vehicles, a bike path, and a bus network, complemented by a vegetative embankment to reduce ambient noise. Regarding the built environment, strategically located commercial buildings are surrounded by green spaces, and kiosks, bars, and a versatile multi-use pavilion have been established in the linear park, along with a spectacular lookout point on the southern slope. The public space includes a linear park offering play areas, elevated walkways, and urban gardens, integrated with stilt structures that preserve the slope and forest. From an environmental perspective, the Ribeira da Granja has been restored to its natural course, urban gardens have been improved, an ambitious reforestation process has been undertaken, and two retention basins have been implemented to efficiently manage water during heavy rains. This project promises not only functionality but also an immersive experience that celebrates the harmonious coexistence of modernization and nature.
